The closest town to the Cove at Celo Mountain is Burnsville, gateway to Western North Carolina’s high country. The Yancey County seat, it bustles with galleries, antique shops, restaurants and specialty stores.

Nearby Asheville, known for its historic art-deco downtown and eclectic cultural scene, is packed with galleries, restaurants and shops. It’s home to the Grove Park Inn and its famous Donald Ross designed golf course, and Biltmore, America's largest privately-owned residence. Asheville is home to dozens of pubs, many featuring their own hand-crafted beers and ales, and its music screne is recognized around the country for venues where both local and national recording artists regularly perform. The University of North Carolina-Asheville offers many degree programs as well as cources for extented studies. The Asheville Tourists, farm team for the Colorado Rockies, provide summer-long baseball fun. Asheville Regional Airport has convenient daily flights to many major east coast hibs.
